Max stats & how to recover my characters?

What are max base stats for all classes? i've just maxed out mag in my gladiator (20 points), my brother maxed str in assasin (140). what are limits on other stats?

and second thing - few days ago i've installed windows 2003 server on second hard drive. Now i wonder where are my old multiplayer characters? in classic diablo / hellfire they were stored in windows directory, now i cannot find them.
