Choose Scout becouse its easer to start a new game as this char. She is not bad at all.
But my favorite in original Hellfire was Mage and Bard (Assassin here). So i choose Scout and Assassin for vote.

A mage is easy for a start as well but because of the lack of money at start there's a problem with mana pots

No, there is no such problem if you use your Staff of Holy Bolt given you at the beginning. You can recharge your staff and it will decrease its durability instead of max spells on it.
And repairing the staff at Griz won't cost you much (~200 GP). You don't need any other offensive spell besides holybolt until DLVL-5 when Animals and Demons come into play. Get it?

..... Yes I know but still it has only 33 charges and that's not much! After 2 recharges it's dura. falls to 1 so it costs pretty alot if you count how many times you do it.

I've played enough to conclude that you get enough money to do all you need to do if you don't rush things. Please, try TRYING things instead of blaming the game. |

I like Mages the best because they are so powerfull yet so frail. They can be killed in a few hits but they deal good damage. |

Exacly Mages are DD's (Damage Dealers) and that's the best thing + they can teleport from place to another with spells and that's very usefull when monsters are all over the place. mmm.... I don't blame the game I only Express my opinion, I can't blame the game because you've said it wil be the hardest diablo mod and it is.

Dualwield is my favorite style in all rpgs. So Assassin and gladiator is my choice here.
Looking forward to the new graphics for those classes.
